There are minimum night requirements for stays within or overlapping the dates below:
27 March - 02 April 2013 - 7 nights
25 November - 02 December 2013 - 7 nights
17 December 2013 - January 4 2014 - 14 nights
01 - 28 February 2014 - 7 nights
16 - 23 April 2014 - 7 nights
24 November - 01 December 2014 - 7 nights
There are no arrivals between 25 December and 02 January 2014.
Child Policy
The Sandpiper welcomes families however children under 12 years cannot be accommodated during the period 15 January - 15 March.
Children under 5 years of age are not allowed in the restaurant or lounge after 7.00 p.m.
Children under 16 years cannot occupy a room alone. (Not applicable to communicating rooms.)
Closure Dates
The Sandpiper will be closed for annual refurbishment and staff holidays during the period 10 August - 09 October 2013 and 9 August - 08 October 2014.
Dress Code
The dress code for The Sandpiper is Year round - elegantly informal. No shorts, T-shirts, faded or torn jeans allowed in the restaurant in the evening. Smart jeans allowed. On New Year's Eve the dress code is black tie/no tie.
We recommend that our guests take out insurance against possible cancellation charges which may be due to the following. In cases of "No Shows" or cancellations within 28 days of arrival during the winter (excluding Christmas), and within 14 days of arrival during the summer, a charge of 3 nights room rate will be imposed. In the case of early check-outs, the full charge is applied to any cancelled nights of a confirmed reservation. If the accommodation is re-let for the full period of the booking, there will be no charge.
Summer: For stays of 1 - 3 nights duration a deposit of 1 nights rate is required. For stays of 4 nights a deposit of 2 nights rate is required. For stays of 5 nights or longer a deposit of 3 nights rate is required.
Winter: For stays of 1 - 3 nights duration a deposit of 1 nights room rate is required. For stays of 4 nights a deposit of 2 nights rate is required. For stays of 5 - 13 nights a deposit of 3 nights is required. For stays of 14 nights or longer a deposit of 5 nights is required. Over the Christmas/New Year period a deposit of 7 nights rate is required.
